FAQs.

  • We are an Out-of-Network clinic, meaning that we do not have any direct contracts with big insurance corporations. All of our clinicians make decisions based on what is best for you. We are not restricted to what an insurance company says that they can or cannot bill for. We are committed to providing the highest possible care for each individual patient.

  • NOPE!

Direct Access puts power into the hands of the patient when deciding if they would like to receive PT. Direct access cuts out the middle man, or the referral from another healthcare professional, before receiving therapy. This also cuts costs of unnecessary doctor’s appointments and gives you, the patient, additional time back because you no longer need to wait for a referral before receiving treatment. Plus, you get the added benefit of better outcomes from treatment!

Per the Tennessee Physical Therapy Practice Act, direct access allows patients to receive up to ninety (90) days of physical therapy treatment before your physical therapist must consult with your physician.

Direct Access cuts costs, reduces unnecessary appointments and no waiting around to receive the treatment you need! The power of recovery is back in the hands of the patients who need it.

  • Insurance companies begin providing coverage once your deductible has been met/paid. In a traditional outpatient physical therapy clinic, visits typically cost between $140-$250 (even after paying your copay which is commonly around $35). You would then be seen 2-3x/week and have around 15-25 minutes one-on-one with your PT and a very limited home exercise program, chances are it a template theraband and bodyweight exercises on a piece of paper. This means you get what you pay for. Yeah… not good.

Healthy individuals that rarely use the medical system or health insurance plan will find that cash-based PT often saves them money and gets them a much higher quality of service. Eliminating the insurance company can save money and give power back to the patient by allowing you to decide when you are healthy enough to stop physical therapy (when you’re out of pain, we offer Graduation Programs to keep the gains rolling in and the pain out the door... for good).

Insurance companies often view many performance-based services as “not medically necessary” and therefore will not provide coverage. Many of these “not necessary” services are crucial to getting athletes back to the level of performance that is required for their sport. These services bridge the gap between healthcare and long-lasting health and fitness by addressing the issues beyond getting you back to the minimum baseline for physical therapy discharge.

We can also utilize “super-bills” which is a form of insurance reimbursement. We can get up to 80% reimbursement with some insurance companies.

  • YUP!

There is no better way to spend tax advantage funds than on your movement, health, and wellness.

  • By all means, make the best decision for you. We are simply trying to offer another route that can help many people and get them the rehab they deserve, not where they are blindly sent.

Traditional outpatient PT clinics have appointment slots that average around 30 minutes of 1-on-1 time with your doctor (with 12 minutes on a NuStep or bike while they get caught up on notes). Insurance companies have lowered the rate that they reimburse PT services every year for the last 7 years (now 8 starting in 2021). In order to combat this lowering of reimbursement, insurance based companies have had to take-on a huge number of patient volume to the point where each therapist must see 3+ patients at the same time to make a profit.

When you spread your healthcare providers that thin, nobody wins.

  • We typically are already aware of some of the story based on the FREE 15-minute phone call.

The evaluation consists of us sitting down and getting to the real reason why you sought out assistance in the first place. We will listen and dig deep into the why’s.

We will then go through a movement assessment to search for any biomechanical issues that may be contributing to your pain.

Our goal is to gain some pain relief on the first visit, however, this is not the endgame or the result we are looking for. We need more than 1 visit to fix the root cause and keep the pain away and the gains rolling in for a long time. This is why we offer Graduation Programs.

    Then we lift or workout!

  • Your initial assessment and treatment lasts one hour.

Follow up visits range from 45-60 minutes, depending on your preference and your therapist's recommendation.

  • Following your initial assessment, your therapist will provide you with a recommendation based on your need.

We also recommend some type of package for a treatment plan of care. Packages allow us to save you some money while also building accountability and ensuring long term success.

We would love to bring you all the value you need in one hour but it’s not that simple.

If you are in pain, injured, or have movement limitations our therapists will be able to provide a more specific recommendation catered to your needs.

  • Per our cancellation policy, if you need to reschedule or cancel your session we require 24 hours advance notice. If you cancel with less than 24 hour notice or fail to show up for your appointment, you will be charged 100% of the total cost of your appointment.

We understand life happens. Exceptions are up to your PT regarding refunds.

We strive for increased accountability and lifestyle changes.

    Frequent cancellations prevent progress.

We value your time so we ask that you value ours!
